Shipwrecked on an uninhabited island, Robinson Crusoe fills his time in either building a shelter for himself, or by reminiscing about the years he spent at sea and the adventures that led him to where he is. The months roll by and the hardships become easier, especially with his herd of wild goats, the ship's dog and a friendly parrot to keep him company. But one day he comes across a strange footprint - friend or foe?

Robinson is a student in England, but he loves the ocean. He leaves his family and goes on a voyage to Guinea. Privateers attack the ship. Robinson escapes with the help of a young Moor. The two reach Brazil where they live a prosperous life. Robinson grows nostalgic and wants to return home and leaves. A twister throws him on a desert island along with a black man that he calls Friday. 20 years after that, he manages to return to England and marries someone. His wife dies and he decides to return to new adventures.

A woman wakes up alone in a clearing in the middle of a dense forest. Where she found herself, and how to get out of the thicket is unknown. In order not to die, a woman has to remember everything that she knew about survival. But the forest is not a warm island in the ocean, and therefore the health and psyche of a female robinson are at risk. The situation becomes even more complicated and dangerous when she discovers a hut with a related girl, and saving the “Friday” only complicates the life of the heroine.

Each season, two teams of candidates (e.g. Flemish versus Dutch, or men v. women) are shipped to an exotic -notably South East Asian- desert island, where they must survive and compete -first as groups, after the 'merger of both camps' individually- in various tests of endurance, knowledge, dexterity etc. (these and other modalities of the formula are deliberately changed, in order to remain unpredictable) either for rewards -such as food, survival tips, phone time- or, crucially, immunity in the elimination votes, which tend to taint every other test with tactical intrigue. The ultimate winner gets the annual title "Robinson 200x".

Robinson Gruesome, marooned on a tropical island, has had nothing to eat but bananas for 28 years. Then Chilly Willy gets marooned with him.

Crusoe, defying his parents, goes to sea, gets shipwrecked, becomes the sole survivor on a deserted island, and builds a new life by salvaging supplies from the wreck, including a dog and cat, creating a fortified home, and learning to survive through hard work and faith, all while battling fear and isolation before eventually encountering 'Friday' and dealing with the intrusion of civilization.

Danish version of the popular Swedish "reality TV" show. A group of ordinary people from a variety of backgrounds are placed on a deserted island where they must use wits, strength and teamwork to keep from starving, freezing, drowning or a variety of other nasty possible fates. In each episode, the members will vote to remove one person from the island until only one remains, who will claim the grand prize.
